Roger and the Rottentrolls

Roger & The Rottentrolls, is an original comedy-drama series for youngsters, about a valley full of mischievous trolls, Involving a mixture of puppets and a child actor. It aims to provide what is effectively a Coronation Street for younger children, a comic soap opera where tangentially serious issues can be raised.

The series features as Narrator the voice of Martin Clunes and also the voices of John Thompson, Phil Cornwall, Rebecca Front and Ronnie Ancona and was filmed on location at Brimham Rocks near Harrogate in Yorkshire.

Series 1 and 2 and the Election Special were first broadcast by ITV and were awarded a BAFTA and RTS and broadcast nominations.

Written by award winning writer Tim Firth & Gordon Firth (his Dad). Directed by BAFTA and Emmy award winning Julian Kemp & executive produced by Robert Howes.

Rottentrolls is Listed in the Childrens top 50 programmes of all time.
